What!?!?!?

Here I am Friday morning... I'm out of bed. It wasn't too bad, I'm afraid tomorrow might be a little tougher. So I get my clothes on, brush my teeth and actually run a brush through my hair.... the coffee is done and I'm ready to go! I think for a second about waking Gil up just to be mean... but I let him continue to drool all over his pillow~hehe! I walk outside(freezing) getting ready to set things out and sit down for the long morning ahead when I notice my neighbor has a sign out front. See Kim is the one that put the ad in the paper for the neighborhood garage sale that all 2 of us are participating in...yeah so the sign says

Garage Sale (Duh)
Friday- 8:30 - 2 (What?!?!)
Saturday- 7-12

No way you have got to be kidding me.... My but is out of bed at 6:30 ready for a 7:00 start and it's not till 8:30!!! AHHHHH That's what I get for not asking her last night what times she put in the paper.. I just thought all garage sales started at least by 7!!! Good joke God really really good Joke... I know he's just up there getting a kick out of this one... never thought I'd be writting a blog this early in the morning... and I'm quite sure you'll never see another one from me this early again.
So now I get to wait.... hmmm thinking I'm getting a hint from the man upstairs that this might be a great time for a talk... I get the point! :-)
So I'll be starting my garage sale adventure in another hour.
Have a Great day!!

All for the Big Screen

Gil has his own room now.... The "Boy's Room". It's a bonus room above our garage and it's his. There's every type of sports crap you can imagine in this room, along with a poker table, computer desk, and the big leather furniture... it looks really cool! But there is something missing and let me tell you, he reminds me of it every single day!!! He's taken me to Best Buy three times now secretly thinking that if he put on his puppy dog face that I'd let him get one. He doesn't realize that electronics.. just don't effect me the same way they effect him. Now show me a cute little dog, Gap jeans, a cute pair of shoes, and purse, the right shade of nail polish... and I can't walk away.. but show me a 52 inch Big Screen T.V and C-ya! So I've held him off by telling him that once we have money in hand, then we will buy it. Bless his little heart... he's been selling everything he owns on ebay!! Guess he really wants this thing huh?
So since he's the money maker around here I've been trying to figure out how to help out... I've already donated my birthday money which was very difficult considering Express was having a big sale, but we're still a bit short.... so what do you do if you don't know how to work a computer well enough to sell on Ebay!?!? GARAGE SALE!!!
I hate them... really truly hate them. I'd rather give my crap away.. not cause I'm in a giving mood, just cause I don't want to deal with getting everything together, cleaning the dust off of it, putting $1 sign on it and watching strangers wander through my garage sorting through my junk. Not counting the fact that these garage sale junkies start at like 6 in the morning. I don't do 6 in the morning! Yeah I'll admit it I'm Lazy
Ok that all sounded really harsh about people that go to garage sales.. Gotta love them, my mom was the queen of them! In fact I think I'd go too if it weren't for the fact that by 10 on Saturday mornings when I finally get motivated to go they are all picked over. I'm just whinning about having my own.. but hey it's all for the big screen right~~?
So Carter and I spent the whole day in the garage setting things up and we're ready to go.. now I just hope people show up and actually buy the stuff. I might even get Gil to help on Saturday... not feeling so sure on that one:-) So I'm off to bed... I can't remember the last time this body was up at 6 in the morning.. not thinking I'll be lookin to pretty, also not sure I'm going to care. But I'll be there with my sweat pants on and my pot of coffee... I think I'm already planning an afternoon nap!
So wish me luck... Garage Sale here I come, cause it's all for the Big Screen!!!! Gil you owe me!

I'm back!!!

Yikes!!! Where do I even start?!? I'll just start trying to fill ya in on my life in the last 4 1/2 months....

- Moved out of my house and left some very close friends in Colorado. The move was quite stressful, but I had a smile on my face the whole trip!
-Moved into a hotel for 5 days with my boys, looked for a house, found a house, bought a house, love the house!!!!
- Carter and I moved into my mom's house for 2 months. That was awesome and weird all rolled up into one! I experienced my new life as a single mom for 2 months out of the year. Carter did great. We had a little bit of an adjustment period, I think he was very confused but we made it. We talked to daddy every night on the phone and my heart was happy because he was sooooo happy with this new job.
-Spent time with lots of friends while we were in Q-town, Dinner at Ret's with good friends, Spent lots of time with Laura my best friend in the whole world and got to love all over Madelyn and Andrew, made up with a friend that I thought I'd lost... and reconnected with some friends from high school. Good times!
-Went to the McNett family reunion with my dad and Laura, then made another trip to the Gross family reunion.. Spent lots of quality time with family, took lots of pictures and had a wonderful time.
-Met Gil for a week in Oronogo (yes, that's the name of our town) To move all of our stuff into the house. Then went back to Quincy.
-End of July, finally moved into the house for good. Daddy was home and life started to get back to normal.
-Turned 26...ouch.. that one kinda hurt.. not looking forward to 3o!!
-Mom and Dad Gilchrist were here for a couple of weeks and really really helped us put our house together... they worked their tails off for us!
-I've painted 6 rooms (yes Deby finished the last room tonight:-) bought furniture and spent way more money on decorations than I'd planned but the house is finally finished... or at least at a good stopping point.

I know there's a lot more that I left out.... but that hits some of the highlights. Life is good... very very good. We are so happy here and each day brings something new. Thanks to everybody that prayed us through this transition time... We love ya all.
